How to Accessorize A Simple Spring Romper

Rompers are a one-and-done deal, which makes them great options for easy outfits. But if you’re finding that neutral/solid romper of yours is looking a little bland as an ensemble, here are some easy ways to revamp with accessories this spring:

Statement Belt – adding something to your waist helps accentuate and define that area in a sophisticated manner. I went for a metallic chain belt that easily adjusts to the width that feels most comfortable, as well as one slightly thinner than most wide corset belts I own.

Opposing Material Jacket – This description might be confusing but what I’m referring to is choosing an outer layer made of different fabric/material than your romper underneath. For example, this chiffon romper is delicate in appearance so I opted for an edgier, denim jacket to pair it up with. I could’ve gone with a leather jacket option too, as that would accomplish the same mission of attracting opposites.

Printed Footwear – From sandals & flats to booties & heels, printed footwear is the best way to add that pop of color to a muted outfit. Since it’s still somewhat chilly out, I’m taking advantage of sporting my ankle boots as often as I can before they make me sweat!

Textured Handbag – Finally, a textured handbag is paired with the same concept in mind as the jacket mission above. The detail of a bag with statement in the material will stand out against a solid piece in a very attractive way. I lean towards embossed or embroidered bags that are still in a neutral color but are somewhat darker/lighter in comparison to the outfit I’m wearing.
