Cheers To Four & Many More!

I STILL CAN’T BELIEVE TO BE BRIGHT IS 4 YEARS OLD!

Sometimes I reminisce on the early days of when I started my blog & the reason behind it. After an extensive phone interview with someone from O Magazine, I was given the advice to put everything I’m doing online – so I did just that.

At the obnoxious hour of 1:00am on January 22, 2013, To Be Bright was created primarily as a digital portfolio that would host my graphic design & DIY projects and a few fashion posts on the side to show my style and personality, with the hopes it would land me a job in NYC.

Fast-forward 4 years and 2 days later and the vision & focus of TBB has completely changed. What began as a resume builder has become my second full-time job and a platform of life & style inspiration for young women in transitional periods of their lives. I couldn’t be happier with how organic the direction of TBB’s focus came to be & thank you all so much for your continuous love, support, & readership!

WITH ANOTHER YEAR COMES NEW CONTENT IDEAS…

I’ve been in somewhat of a posting rut recently and wanted to explore more options that will both satisfy myself (when curating) and you guys as my readers that tune in every Monday – Friday.

After receiving some generous feedback from friends & family, as well as direct messages on Instagram from you guys, I’ve decided to make the quality of my posts a bit more diverse and thoughtful – because even I, myself, am getting tired of shooting 5-6 outfits in one day to post every day of the week (snore!)

SO HERE’S WHAT’S COMING SOON TO TBB…

  • WEDNESDAY’S are about to be dedicated to a new series: TO BE [WEARING]

This series is going to focus on all the outfits we’re mentally preparing for upcoming events & occasions in our lives. From “what to wear for brunch on a 50 degree, rainy day” to “what to wear as a guest to a seasonally-themed wedding.”

I’ve been in plenty predicaments where I have to think of the most specific outfits to satisfy the moments I’m wearing them, and I know I’m not alone. I’m hoping this will help inspire you with your ensemble choices when Pinterest slightly fails you when it comes to specifics.

  • Getting more PERSONAL: including my FITNESS & LIFESTYLE ROUTINES

I’ve slacked on sharing my daily routines when it comes to working out, tending to my seasonal skincare needs, and managing my 2 jobs while keeping my sanity & somehow my friends/social life in-tact. What you see on Instagram will also make an appearance on my blog more often.

I’m also going to get more personal with my daily life confessions. I find that sharing some hardships or life lessons, on top of the exciting moments, will make me feel more approachable & relatable to you guys as my readers – plus I think it would be great therapy for myself as well to start sharing rather than bottling it all up inside.

  • COLLABORATING with my blogger friends & family

Many of my blogger friends have such incredible content that I get so much inspiration from, so I want to start sharing what they have to offer with you guys!

Start looking forward to great recipes, hilarious journal-entry-inspired reads, and collaborative style posts where I team up with my blogger babes who share a similar style aesthetic with me!

  • And lastly, more VIDEO!

Nothing reveals more about someone than listening and seeing them on video, right? So I’m going to be focusing on a few more posts related to that – whether it be simply fooling around, at an event, or sharing my closet etc.

Whatever you guys think would be more exciting to see, please let me know! I’m super open to all suggestions :]
