Trying my hand in the art of slip dressing this fall, choosing a dress I only got one outfit of wear this past summer. That’s the beauty of this fall style moment – making use of those summer pieces throughout the next season with the simple art of layering.

Rather than going for a more chic style of footwear, I chose to wear these high-top sneakers because 1) they’re ultra comfortable and 2) they’re velvet, which shows they have a trend going on for themselves. Personally I love how versatile sneakers are with most types of outfits in general, and this slip dress ensemble is clearly no exception.
