Given my background pre-blog, dressing up with a modern western vibe in mind felt like deja vu. Although I rode English & competed on a NCAA Equestrian Team in college for it – I’ll save that story for a future blog post – the other style of riding always seemed to be most fun to incorporate into my wardrobe, especially now that the challenge of keeping it modern. Trust me, once you wear the real stuff 24/7, you don’t want to make it part of your everyday look.
Western-influence I think is a better way to describe this look, based solely on the colors and prints of this suede dress and blouse combo. This dress is super breathable too which makes it perfect for the upcoming spring season as well as the flexible layering options it has, given its neutral chestnut shade. This saddle bag is one of my favorites so far because it holds so much without looking like it’s completely packed. Best part is that it comes in three colors [linked below] and coordinates well with most other pieces in my closet. Finally, these boots are very much meant for walking – no joke. The wide heel makes it perfect for long-lasting wear and you can’t go wrong with another neutral in leather form.
Funny enough, this outfit post couldn’t have come at a better time because I coincidentally booked a trip to Nashville, TN last night! My best friends and I are spending Thursday – Sunday of Easter Weekend there to explore the infamous city. Any suggestions on where to eat/shop are very much wanted! Shop similar below:
