HAPPY FRIDAY FRIENDS!
Ah this week has been so crazy – I feel like I’ve been so busy with work (my other job) that by the time I get home I’m beyond exhausted. Anyone else struggle to find the balance these days much harder than before?
At least I have a fun night ahead to look forward to! I’m seeing Vanessa Carlton tonight with my best girlfriends and so stoked for this blast to the past event. The venue is small and intimate, oh and specializes in wine. Ding ding ding.
Be sure to follow along on Snapchat, as I’ll definitely be making sure “1000 Miles” & “White Houses” make the story ;]
Back to today’s outfit – can we just take a moment to appreciate these shoes…
Here’s the story behind these Gucci loafers…
My mom and I have been on the hunt for this particular and coveted style for a good year. After getting over the hesitation of making the investment, we couldn’t for the lives of ourselves find them in our size (we’re both US 8 – IT 38) and/or in this black structured leather.
They’ve been sold out almost everywhere and we just were about to settle for a waitlist spot…until we spotted a Gucci store in our Las Vegas hotel last weekend. We took a look in the Bellagio’s Gucci store and practically fainted when we found not only our dream loafer BUT ALSO in our size/color choice.
Best part, the store carried TWO PAIRS – ONE FOR EACH OF US. I mean do you really think we would be able to share them? Rhetorical question.
Although these loafers are on the higher end of my budget comfort level, I absolutely felt zero buyer’s remorse when purchasing them.
These babes are a fantastic investment that I’ll have, love, adore & wear for YEARS to come.
Plus I figured being obsessed with something for a year without question is another confirming factor that it was meant to be ;]
