My eyes have treated me well for the past 22 years. Despite reading in the dark and overeating carrots to make up for potential damage, I’ve been pretty lucky in the eyesight department…until I went to college. One eye exam during a general appointment and I found myself STRUGGLING to read not even that tiny of print. Next, license plates in front of me became blurry when driving. Denial eventually led to my first pair of glasses at age 18.
Until now, you wouldn’t have found me wearing them often; the fit of my current frames is uncomfortable and I’ve been lazy about getting a second pair. That is, until I was contacted by Warby Parker and engaged myself into a world of opportunity, for my eyes.
As a visual human, I need to see and feel the frames before making the decision to get them. WP’s Home Try-On Program allowed me to pick five frames and have them sent to my address to experiment with, completely free to ship both ways too! I had too much fun deciding what frames would be my new readers, but ultimately picked a new pair.
The five I chose are all from the 2014 Spring Collection, one of the two newest lines launched this year by WP. This collection introduces eight new shapes and six new colors. Check out detail shots of my try-ons below:
1. BURKE in sugar maple
2. SEYMOUR in sage
3. WALKER in whiskey tortoise
4. WALKER in canton blue
5. FINCH in grenadine
And the winner is…
BURKE in sugar maple! I love how different these frames are compared to the ones I have now. I’ve been admiring the bigger shaped frames and I’m loving how comfortable these are. The style is unique but still very adaptable to wear with anything.
There’s a Warby Parker frame for everyone, so be sure to make your next pair of readers as unique as you. For every pair of frames sold, a pair is distributed to someone in need through WP’s non-profit partners.
For those limited edition-enthusiasts: Check out The Palm Canyon Collection, the second new line that refreshes some of the best-loved frames in a palette of mesquite, acacia, ironwood, and sand.
Love this post! I have been considering getting a new pair of frames from Warby Parker.
