This top leaves somewhat little left to the imagination but if it weren’t black, I wouldn’t have considered it. There’s something about the sophisticated color that makes pieces like this suitable for public display. And although I don’t like showing off my bellybutton, there’s enough for the eye to gravitate to which will overshadow my hesitation..clearly.
So why wear this sheer mesh situation if I have so many insecure defensive reasons? Because, for me, it’s about embracing how I feel in my own skin. I’ve worked my ass off this summer and proud of the results those dreadfully early morning runs and cardio/ab routines gave me. Therefore, sporting it during the early hours of pedestrian rush hour was the ultimate test of my confidence.
Skin is in, and when muted with sheer pieces in darker colors you can get away with (almost) baring all. But yes I’ll probably wear this more often when the sun goes down, that’s a more realistic approach.

Great look – totally agree about the top, it’s eye-catching but doesn’t give too much away! Love the pairing with the yellow bag too. Molly x
