It’s funny how I’ve somewhat grown up in a barn since age 5 and although my career has taken a 180 degree turn, it somehow still occasionally lands me in the environment that feels most comfortable. Most often when it comes to footwear, western styles have made their own permanent mark in my 20-year-old wardrobe – even though I grew up (and got recruited to an NCAA Division I College) riding English.
OUTFIT DETAILS
The Tecovas’ story starts with a simple desire for handmade, high-quality boots that don’t break the bank. The brand was tired of exorbitant $400-600 entry-level prices for the boots everyone wanted–not to mention the lack of trustworthy online shopping options.
So for someone like myself who 1) didn’t grow up riding western and 2) doesn’t like to spend as much as she needs to for high quality, it’s nice to find a brand that fits both my desire for the unknown – in terms of attire as well as my budget while managing a concrete lifestyle in NYC.
