Details: (g) Old Navy funnel-neck coat, crewneck sweater, metallic denim, suede sneaks, metallic dot beanie
Let’s be honest – layering in neutrals is probably the best thing ever. For starters, 98% of the time it works in terms of color coordination and when the weather outside is frightful, cozying up is more than delightful. But with that being said, I’m finding that an added touch to the glitz of the winter season is through the subtle use of metallics, with a background history of a neutral.
Along with the cozy wool blend coat, Earthy-tone pullover knit and desert sand suede kicks, these mid-rise skinnies and beanie [sold out!] I scored at Old Navy are perfect examples of keeping it cool with the shimmer. You probably didn’t even notice the metallic detailing of my beanie right away, let alone the metallic wash finish from the waist to the ankle. But now you do! White is a perfect canvas for such an effect if you’re looking to keep it undercover. For the more outgoing look, check out Old Navy’s silver metallic wash and killer rosegold sneaks as options to feed your sparkle.
