My apologies for the delay & lack of detailed shots – traveling home 11 hours and pulling an all nighter in the process does not do the body justice. After catching up on about 15 hours of sleep, I finally feel human again. The cold weather home is welcoming me back with is also a wake-up call.

I want to highlight two essentials I have for this fall/winter season – long faux fur vests & knee-high boots. As I’ve mentioned in a post before, faux fur vests are top of the trending list & I’m in love with this extra long one from Forever 21. It does a great job keeping more than the top of me warm while running errands in chilly windy weather. Boots wise, these Frye beauties are my leather saviors. If you want to invest in a great pair of leather boots that look even better with age, then Frye is the brand for you. I’ve had these for years and I intend to have them for many more to come. I pair them with tall wool socks underneath to keep the insulation.
