The new year marks the beginning of fresh starts, a clean slate and sometimes, a different approach to our personal challenges. That being said, one of my “goals” for the year is to be more efficient with some of the challenges I face quite often – my cellphone usage. As a blogger, my job is to be in-synch with my device at almost all hours of the working day; in short,  constant use = expensive overages. Yikes. On one hand I can totally disconnect more often for the sake of my budget but on the other, my job can potentially suffer from the unavailability. Seeing that I support myself with my blog, I can’t compromise what I need to use to bring home the bacon at the end of the month but still, no one wants to overspend on a cell phone bill that’s literally built to take advantage of you.

When I first moved into the city a year ago today (pretty much), my budget became my top priority of management, especially because it was right after the holiday season. With my outfit posts and interior DIY, I stuck to the niche that suited my current living situation. Not much has changed and in fact, I saved a lot by doing my research in seeking alternative solutions to my more expensive dilemmas (cough cellphone cough). I realized having a second smart phone would be beneficial to not only my current plan in terms of usage per device but also for my blog’s digital accessibility.

To make this happen, I broke free from the annual contract route and received the flexibility I needed by switching to the AT&T GoPhone prepaid plan. Where the old phone took calls and answered texts, the GoPhone took care of all my email and social media inboxes – the part of my previous plan that would exceed my monthly data due to constant use. I’ve covered all the reasons why the GoPhone made my job as a blogger less expensive in a previous post but here are some quick facts that I talked about:

Rate Plans – As low as $45 to the high of $60 monthly, AT&T GoPhone includes unlimited talk, text and data usage with rollover perks.

Smartphones – Choose from the latest 4G LTE Android and Windows smartphones at affordable prices, with the nation’s most reliable 4G LTE network to ensure you’ll stay connected.  Plus, if you BYOD “Bring Your Own Device” you can get the GoPhone plan for your iPhone!

No Annual Contract – GoPhone customers have the flexibility to choose & make changes to their plan as necessary, so when life changes (which it always does) your phone plan can change with it.

If you’re looking to cut back on your expenses and interested in trying a different approach to dealing with life’s challenges – starting with your phone plan, consider the AT&T GoPhone. It’s easier than ever to stay connected with friends & family and with no annual contract and no credit check, the ease and flexibility offered can’t be beat. Living in the city is expensive as is, so knowing I can keep up with the costs of both living, having a social life (digitally speaking) while keeping up with the demands of my job is such a relief without the anxiety of overage fees in my mind.
