Full disclosure, I’m low key obsessed with this rust blazer! Along with the burnt orange skirt from yesterday’s Part One, Look 1 for Banana Republic’s Fall Trend Report, I can’t think of a better color that signifies the season of fall.

The metallic sheen that makes up the texture of this blazer is what truly makes it stand out from all the other blazers mimicking this color. I like how the Boyfriend fit & length of it hits below my waist rather than directly at it. This makes it appear as a pseudo-trench when pairing with a short romper.

Another tip towards recycling those summer pieces you aren’t ready to say goodbye to just yet (i.e. a white lacy romper) – just pair them up with darker, fall-inspired colors and you get the ultimate transitional fall ensemble.
