I’m no feminine dresser, as most of us know, but I have been experimenting with a mix of edgy florals and related prints in hopes of expanding my wardrobe horizon. Baby steps, people. However I have to say I couldn’t be more excited about the pieces that mix girly with edge, which is exactly how this cold-shoulder embroidered top from French Connection makes me feel at the moment.

Call it a case of undone romance, but this top is just as beautiful with a black background as it would with any other girly/feminine color serving as its canvas. The oversized nature of this bare-shoulder blouse allows for the ease of wearing high-waisted jeans solely for the wash and not necessarily needing to tuck the blouse in to show off the best of both pieces.
Finishing the look with simplistic choices in both footwear and jewels competes this look as the edgy floral ensemble I strived for it to be, fitting it into my personal style choice with the rest of my closet. The wide-block heel definitely works in my favor in terms of getting around on a daily hour rather than just for event/preview purposes. Something I consider a MUST-HAVE if you’re looking to step up your shoe game in more ways of style plus height.
