Getting down on Friday in a dress that’s meant for the office. Business attire gives me hives 90% of the time so in a natural effort to feel most comfortable, I add the most casual jacket I could find to change the atmosphere where this dress is appropriate. The reasons for even buying this dress in the first place are 1) I love any dress in a shift or swing style and 2) My dress game for work is pathetic and needed the help.

A statement necklace balances both worlds in this case. When inside/at work, the jacket and scarf come off and leave a dark, barren color scheme. Cue the necklace and you have instant visual appeal that carries on outdoors. Shop similar below:
