The color red is a statement itself but even this shade can fall victim of appearing “blah” depending on the garment it possesses. In this case, dressing up this bright but simple jumpsuit called for finding middle ground with the addition of a belt. To determine what width would appear best can easily be decided by the width and position of the seam (if any) located on the piece you plan to incorporate the belt with. I found a slightly thin black leather strap looked the best, but of course trial and error by experimenting can help your cause as well.
Since this jumpsuit is made of “jersey” material – soft and stretchy – it definitely lies more on the casual side if worn alone. To dress it up for an evening or event occasion, pairing with strappy heels and a bomber jacket for a hint of edge definitely changes the game.
