Today marks the day I’m officially a quarter of a century old. Kissing my “younger” twenties goodbye and beginning the personal transition into my comfortable mid-twenty age for another 365 days is bitter-sweet. Age 24 marked a lot of amazing opportunities for me, a lot of learning lessons and most importantly, a greater appreciation for my self-worth. Without getting into the lengthy examples of this past year, I’ll conclude my “coming of new age” moment by stating that surrounding myself with positivity was and continues to be my greatest resource to happiness.

Whether it be people or activities I genuinely enjoyed, I made sure to make the most of my opportunities with optimism in mind. This also meant parting ways with former things that no longer gave me enjoyment, both socially and emotionally. Turning 25 is terrifying yet exciting – it’s the only time in my life I’ll be right in the middle of the best years of my life, but don’t count on me coasting in neutral all year long. I have too many things coming my way to stand still.

Speaking of positivity, these gladiator sandals sure make me feel extra glad wearing them. For starters, the lace-up style allows for a custom fit with every outfit – tied close to my legs for that structured form look. I find these types of sandals pair great with shorter bottoms or a mini skirt/dress where more leg is exposed. It semi makes up for the blank leg space with the close-to-the-knee height.

Also I’m super shocked to see myself in yet another pink ensemble – and what’s scarier is that this isn’t the only outfit in pink this week! Stay tuned for Thursday’s ensemble if you’re curious to see what else I dare to wear in such a color.
