Warm weather’s approaching, which means tank tops will soon be in full bloom as spring outfits emerge out of hibernation. Many, many tank tops require you to either have the perfect fitting chest for them or to invest in a bandeau. Not to worry! Bandeaus come in all shapes, sizes, fabrics, and colors – there’s a bandeau for everyone.
The variety of bandeaus seems unlimited – every pattern and style imaginable exists somewhere.
For those low-back tanks, a cut-out bandeau makes a solid, simple tank look super trendy.
Solid tanks with low-cuts, front or back, look awesome with a bright or contrasting pop of color (neon orange shown above – American Apparel)
Lace goes a long way if you want to add some texture to a colored solid/pattern tank that needs that boost of visual interest ( Lace shown below – Free People)
Another type of bandeau could be a bra-lette. They look like tiny tanks cut just above the rib cage, but can give that simple white tank top what it needs to stand out (Bra-lette shown below – Free People).
Unfortunately, I have yet to find a handy built-in underwire bandeau, so I end up wearing a strapless bra underneath them. However, all the bandeaus I have featured come in sizes small, medium, & large, as well as tend to be super elastic and flexible!
Any tips on where to buy bandeaus with a little more support?
