As I sit in my closet/office amongst piles of sweaters I already own, for some reason I can’t avoid adding new cozy knitwear each fall season. Anyone else with me or is this wardrobe obsession becoming more of a problem…? Don’t answer that.
I’ve gotten better about filtering out old items of clothing when replacing with new “updated” versions – for every sweater that comes in, one MUST leave the wardrobe. It’s not easy but it definitely alleviates the concern of knitwear hoarding.
IDK about you but whenever I see a white knit sweater of any sort, I immediately long for it (& most likely end up getting it.) White might be my favorite color TBH and it just looks so delightful when it’s in sweater form. I personally love how it works so well when paired with denim of all kinds, from the light wash to the dark rinse pairs.
When it comes to fit, it’s the turtle & mock neck sweaters for me. But there’s a specific kind of comfort I seek whenever I consider a sweater with a higher neck. What I love so much about this particular sweater I’m wearing here is that the high neck doesn’t require any additional folding over (which isn’t always a cute look – no one appreciates more rolls around the face) nor does constrict too much, as I can’t stand anything too tight around my neck. Another great feature of this sweater is the fact it’s constructed with a slight high-low length, making it something you don’t necessarily have to tuck in unless you want to. I can’t stand when a cozy sweater shows too much bulk under the jeans when tucked in; It’s can be such a process to situate it just right.
On another note – I’ve lately gotten VERY into the knit cardigan fit as well… but I’ll save that for another post.
