Bring on the denim daze – it’s FINALLY warm enough to sport my favorite pair of shorts, and just in time for the holiday weekend. When it comes to denim, I find dressing it up to be more of a fun exercise considering how often it [denim] gets a casual rep.

Keeping the white lace trim detail in mind I opted for a structured navy & white dot top to be worn tucked in yet stays breezy due to the fabric. In fact a chiffon-blend or a light linen fabric top is ideal for the warmer seasons if you want to go for a more covered look but not trying to sweat through it.

Finishing the look up with an edgy heel gives the entire outfit some height, making it perfect for a day event. Personally I think the addition of the choker that coordinates color-wise completes the “off-duty model” approach that denim handles oh so well. Shop similar below:
