I’ve been anxiously awaiting to share these pictures with you guys because HOLY FALL LEAVES! We woke up at 7am to head to the High Line to get these shots, before the predicted rainstorm and foot traffic. Little did we know how gorgeous and magical this particular fall day would be. It’s like all the leaves decided to turn all at once & just for us! And in typical NYC nature, it was a “here today, gone tomorrow” moment; which makes us even more thankful for being in the right place at the right time.

When EMU Australia asked me to participate in its EMU Travels The World campaign (for the second time!), I decided to go for a different choice of scenery to represent beautiful NYC. The challenge is for participating influencers to capture their location, while wearing the pre-selected hero product – The Pioneer Boot, in a photograph that best showcases the major city they live in. Today is the official day for participating NYC influencers to reveal their chosen “iconic” photo spots.

For last year’s campaign, I posed on the Brooklyn Bridge, a standard destination for city visitors & residents alike. As much as I loved 2017’s shoot, I wanted this year to be captured in a less obvious iconic location, but one that’s unique to NYC nonetheless – The High Line.

Fall in New York is one of the most beautiful and limited times of the year here. It’s something you get to witness for a moment & the next day it’s gone for another year. That’s why I felt so lucky to be able to capture these shots right then & there at the heart of the season. New York makes you appreciate the moments lived each day, because they’re hardly repeated and never the same.
