Two weeks and 25 products later…
I’m here to announce the category winners of my personal experience as AOL’s Fall Beauty Awards Skincare judge!
First off, it was so much fun getting to try all of these amazing skincare brand products and truly determine which ones worked the best for me – of course, everyone has a preference when it comes to personal use so please don’t take my winner determination as “the universal choice.” That being said, may I introduce to you the winners of my round-up:
Lip Balm: C.O. Bigelow Rose Salve
I’ve been using this stuff for years and I have to say as much as I enjoyed the “minty-ness” of its competitors, there’s nothing like a multi-use product. From chapped lips to dry patches all over those tough-to-soothe places (i.e. cuticles, knees, elbows), this Rose Salve has you covered.
Exfoliator: Bliss Micromagic Microdermabrasion Treatment
This magical product contains skin-smoothing volcanic pumice, conditioning Vitamin E and comforting aloe that help gently treat the appearance of dull & imperfections on the surface of your skin. One use and you’ll feel a fresh, soft and more revitalized look that runs skin-deep.
Face Wash: SkinMedica GlyPro Facial Cleanser
Now this cleanser helps to exfoliate as well, using eco-friendly microbeads and a glycol compound to get a deep cleanse that leaves your skin feeling fresh and new. As someone who appreciates the organic attempts skincare takes from time to time, I’m happy to report this cleanser did the trick to achieving that new layer feel.
Night Cream: Murad Essential-C Night Moisture
Who doesn’t love the smell of oranges? I’ve found a lot of my favorite products including the Vitamin-C extract that makes my skin glow from ear to ear, cheekbone to cheekbone, etc. With moisturizer, applying to not only the face but the neck and chest area as well helps to keep skin appearing consistent all year round (super important to consider for the colder temps.)
Moisturizer: Erno Laszlo Phormula 3-9 Repair Balm
Rounding up the winners is a repair balm that creates a “health dome” over the skin. The formula’s soothing and hydrating properties are easily absorbed by the skin, which allows for the overall natural healing properties to be stimulated and put to use. It’s like you’re teaching your skin to self-moisturize – what could be better than that?
