Of all the coats I currently own, this one has gotten more use this winter due to its cocoon-like nature. With only one layer underneath [yes, I’m still cold for the sake of fashion] but I’m much warmer than I would be in some of my other options. Ok in all honesty, I’m trying to believe that maybe if I start dressing like it’s warmer it magically will be..

Besides my dreams of Spring, what’s catching my eye in real time is the concept of dressed-up denim and the addition of a hat in particular. Fashion Week has opened my eyes to the wear of these accessories indoors in replacement of beanies, successfully accomplishing what many think “sunglasses indoors” achieves – – aka this works, that doesn’t unless you’re Anna Wintour.

Distressed denim with the addition of a heel easily changes the perspective of the garment’s casual nature. I’m trying to get my jean obsession under control by over-wearing them now while I still can – I tend to be one of those humans who tries to wear them in the dead of summer. Shop similar below:
