This right here might as well be considered my September uniform, given it’s the perfect time of year to wear the combo of cozy sweater x high-waisted shorts. I love adding a touch of sophistication with a lower heel (kitten or block) whenever I’m feeling a dressier vibe over my casual go-to sneakers.

What many of us don’t realize is that you can easily still wear shorts into the fall and early winter seasons (with tights), tuck them into hibernation for a bit, and then bring them back out once spring hits the following year. Most shorts go on sale around this time of year too, so you can get something great now at a price way lower than you’d pay once they’re back in season.
