My style doesn’t cross into the business casual department very often but when it does, it’s important for me to make it work for my comfort level. That means making an outfit of more structured pieces I wouldn’t normally pair together, and liking it enough for a full day of wear.

Thacker presented me with the fun challenge “How You Style It”  – coordinating staple pieces I love as separates into an outfit that showcases them together. So how did I make a standard business casual outfit of a button-down and suede skirt more personalized for my style? By giving it a little edge in the faux fur & stud department.

What I love most about the pieces I selected is how comfortable both are to wear. This button-down is fitted to define my body but the fabric is so cozy and relaxed just like a boyfriend’s. Along with the microsuede skirt, there’s a lot of stretch with the fitted shape so I can move comfortably. I’m used to large wallets but this beautiful double zip style is slightly smaller than the one I used to use and still fits everything I need! Plus it doubles well as a mini clutch too!

Thacker is all about investing in versatile pieces and maximizing the space in your closet, which are two very important considerations I have when looking for clothes. All these pieces can be worn in multiple outfits together and separately, for every season and many occasions. I’ve been playing around with the You Style It app on Thacker’s site to create my own looks from their collection as “outfit ideas” to remember! You should totally give it a try – it makes planning a look very simple and easy to remember!
