Today’s post is exceptionally difficult to write about, especially the day after Memorial Day. This outfit is inspired by my cousin who passed away this weekend from a flight accident. He was a marine corp pilot and unbelievably smart. As my first best friend, he paved the way for me, my sisters and my cousins growing up and losing him is very hard to grasp.
This outfit shows the casualness of his personality and the stripes of his honor. He attended Virginia Military Institute to pursue his endeavors, which is why I’m thankful and proud to sport his hat.

Let this be an encouragement to never take anything for granted and hug your loved ones today, for everything can change in the blink of an eye. I am survived by his spirit and I know he’s watching down on me and our family as a guardian angel. Rest in peace, cuz.
