ZOMG did you ever think you’d see the day I’d wear a color pink like this..? I sure didn’t but I’m actually so happy about it. I’m trying to embrace more color in my wardrobe this year (a continued effort from last year’s mission) but making it work with pieces I’m naturally comfortable with (i.e. neutrals, aka solid black.)

I had a hunch this checked coat from a few years ago would come in handy still today – in fact, it was the first thing that came to mind when I was self-inquiring about purchasing this pink blouse. Ps, that’s a good tip to keep in mind if you ever find yourself in a personal purchase debate – mentally think about 2-3 DIFFERENT outfits you could wear the piece with and let that determine your decision.
