Some go to the Hamptons, and others go home for summer weekends if they absolutely love where they grew up. But before I treasured my moments on the “real” Jersey shore, my family was frequently going to Cape Cod or Rehoboth Beach, DE – where my parents met. Naturally, both places hold a meaning I can appreciate and when it comes to dressing the part for a weekend of travel, I go as gingham-plaid as possible.

Spring & summer picnics on the beach beach followed by a night spent outdoors is a typical weekend for most. In the case of this longline romper I would normally pair up with some sort of wedge/heel but let’s be real here, I ain’t sporting that height all day long. A simple slip-on sneaker for spring and a laced sandal come summer is the perfect “day” version of this outfit. Plus, swapping them out for footwear with a lift is as easy as putting this piece on.
