ASOS EMBROIDERED SHIRT | TOBI RED SHORTS | NEW LOOK GINGHAM SANDALS
In an effort to be productive with “outfit inspiration” for upcoming events/holidays, behold the first 4th of July OOTD in a series of (2-3) looks for the occasion! I try to go beyond what people would expect for a day filled with Red, White, and Blue spirit; at the same time, sticking to the roots of the celebration is essential to keep to the point.
Where I got creative with this one is pretty obvious – gingham wrap sandals. Instead of going for an obvious color coordinating choice of footwear, I went for a print that draws attention to itself naturally. Additionally, I always associate gingham print with the summer season so it felt like a natural choice.
Originality lies within the solid red shorts and my casual white tee – note the embroidery coordinates with the colors of the holiday!? I swear I didn’t get it for the sake of matching this outfit in a clever manner. The sleeve detail was just too enticing!
Super cute shorts!!! Love the detailing! I am adoring all of the gingham this spring and summer. SO cute! FOund you through Sincerely, Paula’s link up. Lovely blog.

Thanks girl! I appreciate all the love!
When I was scanning down the first photos I was thinking…where’s the gingham? The title said there was gingham! (because I’m obsessed…) Then my mouth dropped when those adorable sandals showed up! No joke. Mouth drop. Haha! I can’t pull off lace-up sandals but I LOVE these and I’m so glad you’re sharing them so others can find them and pull them off!
