After taking recent inventory of my collection of shorts I realized how badly I needed an upgrade. Half of my pairs no longer fit and if they did, they weren’t doing it for me anymore. It’s incredible how you can think something was once flattering on you and then becomes your worst nightmare of a purchase. Yikes.
Luckily I was able to step up my denim game with a fun pair of scalloped hem shorties I scouted while at H&M. Both the light wash & close fit couldn’t have been better and made me feel a lot more excited about wearing denim shorts this summer.
With a great pair of shorts should come a bag you can treat with versatility when it comes to summer weekends. First as an everyday shoulder bag, next a great beach tote solution. It’s great how much I can fit inside this cute lil bag, making it a great choice for going from the beach to after hour drinks without needing to make a major wardrobe change.

ON A PERSONAL NOTE…
Today marks the 3rd year I’ve gone without my older cousin. His death was unexpected and tragic, and despite the amount of time that has gone past I still have days where I feel very confused – over why it happened and why the pain is still extreme.
But I’m grateful and blessed – I feel his presence with me EVERY DAY. It’s wild, but there hasn’t been one day in three years that I don’t have a moment when he comes to mind. It’s reassuring to know that they’re with us, even when they’re physically gone.
Love & miss you Ericsson.
