I’ve gotten a lot of wear out of this lady in red in the past two weeks. After making its first debut for my sister’s grad school graduation from Columbia University last Monday, I found myself in red lace the following Wednesday for a rooftop event. The simplicity of the dress itself makes it so easy to put on, not to mention how fab it looks from both the front AND the back. How cute are those little pom tassels!?

But the real reason for its repetition is due to the HONEST TRUTH of not having to wear a bra with it. I mean when you go sans underwire you suddenly feel better than the definition of freedom. Let’s just say this momentous moment in my wardrobe history has led me to go “tastefully” braless and I’ll be continuing such a personal choice going forward. Clearly I’m super late to the itty bitty titty committee’s #1 rule: Just leave the bra at home.

Anyways…this dress is fantastic in its own right frankly for the upcoming weekend we have ahead – Memorial Day! This is like the pregame holiday to the Fourth of July, so I like to treat it as such by dressing in my best versions of red, white, and blue.
