Hope everyone had a wonderful Fourth of July weekend! I had such a blast back home in New Jersey that I completely dropped off the radar and slacked HARD on my posting game. But sometimes, taking a break like that is a very healthy thing. I couldn’t be more eager to get back to work this week after this brief but necessary mental disconnect – starting with sharing not one but TWO posts highlighting my stars & stripes game.

Clearly seeing stars in this particular look, last week’s post I didn’t feature on social media (yet) showed how I dressed up for the weekend in a striped ensemble. Personally I think sharing looks post-holiday is a lot more fun – especially because the sales are killer great and being able to steal these styles that are versatile all season long is a plus as well.

OUTFIT DETAILS

Asos dress (old) – similar | Grace & Lace extender | Bernardo sandals

Although this dress was purchased last year I still find it great for daily wear and in particular, summer evenings.  It just so happens to work perfectly with the past holiday occasion. However an unfortunate event happened where I threw this dress in the wash and had it shrink ever so slightly.

Before I figured all hope was lost, I remembered the fantastic lace extenders from Grace & Lace that instantly made this starry-eyed beauty appear the right length for my 5’5″ frame. Seriously so thankful for such an incorporation piece – now I can wear my favorite star and festive dress as often as I want!
