Wanna know the secret to a matching set? Use what you have. Normally I find myself attracted to the gorgeous prints from top to bottom – literally – that I end up buying two pieces for close to $200. Unless the print is unique and a must, there’s wiggle room for compromise but when you’re going as simple as a solid color and on a budget nonetheless, it’s time to get creative.
Matching black on black is 90% of the time accurate but it can become challenging to coordinate those multiple shades of white and other hues we’ve come to love this season. But even still, a little differentiation can go a long way and the fun of mix & matching becomes an obsession. Since it feels like summer most days but occasionally cools down with breezy winds, a longline kimono in a fun print can help step this look up for that moment in time. Shop similar below:
P.S. Did you notice a change in the hair dept?? Over the weekend my gal Ang gave me a gorgeous balayage treatment and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. It’s the perfect way to get the change you want for the summer and the most low key – maintenance wise – you can go when transitioning to lighter locks. #duckfacefordays

Gorgeous look, Tilden! I love those booties and long kimono! And you’re so right- it looks great with those simple neutrals. I agree- I’m totally into bold prints and statement pieces. Sometimes I need to pull myself back and invest in some basics!
