Skirting The Issue

Someone recently told me “the colder the Spring, the hotter the Summer,” and I’m not sure which I’d prefer at the moment. As much as this colder weather is not welcomed, I don’t want to imagine a sweltering season in the city anytime soon. To me, the perfect weather is one that calls for a blend of sweaters and shorts that look like skirts – the infamous skort we can recall from our childhood.

There’s nothing better than pretending you’re dressed fancier than you actually are. I find skorts to be very comforting to wear in the city, especially with the random gusts of wind that happen while on my daily commute. Now if the weather lightens up on those rare occasions, it’s not too early to break out the sandals. I’m OBSESSED with these white gladiator lace ups from Bernardo because they not only look incredibly chic but make the tiny white detail of the florals pop on this outfit. Not to mention I have plenty other spring/summer pieces that would benefit from the striking white association south of my ankle. Eee hurry up spring/summer please! Shop similar below:
