Checks for days – I’m referring to the pattern although the monetary option doesn’t sound too bad either. However, a print like this in a thick fabric feels like all the riches in the world  combined – placed over my shoulders and worn with ONE layer underneath is a priceless feeling considering how brutal this winter has been in NYC / everywhere else up North.

My wardrobe is shedding its wool overcoat layers while I’m ironically preparing them for summer hibernation – yes, there are a lot of puns intentionally placed in that sentence. But what’s great with a piece like this is when worn, the basic ensemble becomes something that draws attention in a, “WHERE’D YOU GET THAT,” way…this already happened to me more than 5x this past week.
