Don’t you love chilly mornings where you can cozy on up in a long sleeve? In this case, I didn’t want to take this one off so I paired it with structured high-waisted shorts and ankle boots scored at Marshall’s. Can you say #fabfound?
Thank goodness for these shorts and the pair’s ability to brighten up my day. Last night was one to remember – I came home to a swollen jaw and neck, the inability to swallow and anxiety through the roof. After much debate on whether or not to run to the ER, my mom and me decided to wait until morning to go; Better doctors at that hour and we’ve done this one too many times in the past to know the routine. LOL but actually..
Well much to my enormous relief, I woke up much better and was able to shoot these looks this morning. So my apologies for the delay but I’m thankful to not have chipmunk cheeks as I write this. P.S. I plan to see a doctor next week, if anyone is concerned.
Anyway these shorts make me so happy to look at and wear, plus the color reminds me of warm rays of positivity. Maybe that was my saving grace or potentially it was sheer luck, but I’m happy to have been able to share this look with you all on this wonderful (and cool!) Friday. Shop similar below:

Love the bright gold colour of your shorts plus their unusual hemline. Stunning as always.
Yes! Nothing beats waking up in the morning to cool weather. Too bad I live in Texas, where that doesn’t happen so often until well into the later months. But lucky you!
I love the outfit and you’re right, it does add a touch of happiness to anyone’s day. So glad to know that you’re doing well and that nothing serious happened! (:
I have some items too that just make me smile putting them on. And the cut of the hem on these shorts is so wonderfully unexpected.

I love wearing shorts with a sweater or big top in early fall – this is a great look! I love the sans souci of your style, it never comes across overworked, like an artist with a deft and swift stroke not belabored and worried. I have to be careful with big tops, they overwhelm me, and I look more like an orphan than cool. I need to keep at it, so I don’t get locked into doing the same thing over and over.
