I’M WEARING: BANANA REPUBLIC COAT & SCARF | STEVE MADDEN BOOTS
Yesterday I celebrated 4 YEARS of To Be Bright!
It all began at 1am in my college apartment on January 22, 2013, as a digital resume that would land me a fashion PR job in New York and nothing more. Sometimes I can’t believe how far I’ve come since my first legitimate post (gotta love those mirror selfies!) and how long I’ve stuck it out with this incredible platform of an industry. Everything has changed and challenged me in ways I never imagined since starting, both in tremendously great and disappointing manners. Nonetheless I’ve never nor will I ever call it quits; TBB is here to stay!
Banana Republic has been a brand partnership that I’ve appreciated since summer 2016 and every month since. Every season comes with a new collection of classic staples every working lady in a bustling city should acquire. Starting with a neutral trench coat that isn’t the typical length of such a style but holds way more warmth than you’d expect. To accessorize a solid color fitted dress I chose to wear underneath, I opted to take a printed silk scarf and style it as a belt around my rib cage instead of draping it over my shoulders. As for coordinating shoes I found that velvet makes for a statement that works on it’s own.
