The Skincare Products I’m Traveling With This Summer

Travel Cosmetic Case (comes in 3 colors, also have this one)

Just like the seasons, my skincare routine is constantly changing over time. Whether it’s a matter of getting used to the products I’ve been applying or if my skin’s needs change with the weather conditions, I’m always finding myself updating my regiment. Although I have a few hero products I swear by & continue to replace, I don’t mind the changing up. It provides me with an opportunity to discover new brands & possibly new favorites worth replacing.

Here are a few things I’ve been taking with me on my weekend trips to Newport, RI this summer. Some of these brands are completely new to me & others are familiar friends, but all of them have been leaving my skin looking & feeling radiant AF!

Paula’s Choice 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant: This gentle exfoliant is part of the Skin Perfecting line & so far I’m loving it! I’ve only used it at night, post-makeup removal & post-cleansing but pre-moisturizing. It’s great because you can leave it on without worrying it’ll clog pores – trust me, I’ve been layering 3-4 products on my skin following this application & still no issues! (also available in travel size)

Paula’s Choice Youth-Extending Daily Hydrating Fluid SPF 50: I’ve been using this as my final morning layer to my skincare routine, granted it has SPF50. It’s super light-weight to apply and feels fresh on the face without looking dewy thanks to its mattifying finish. And with my dry skin, its anti-aging properties make it a crucial part of my routine. (also available in travel size)

Paula’s Choice Antioxidant Pore Purifier: I use this as my step 3 product for both am & pm routines. It has an oily feel to it but doesn’t leave the skin looking oily, so it’s perfectly fine to use in the morning before heading out for the day. My reason for using it is because of its protective barrier for my pores, helping to shield them from environmental damage such as pollution & debris. (also available in travel size)

ELEMIS Ultra-Smart Pro-Collagen Eye Treatment Duo: One of my most trustworthy brand favorites, there was no doubt I’d love using this eye treatment specially designed for morning & evening use. It’s hard to find a good eye cream that feels like its doing its part, without being too weak in formula & needing reapplication or making the delicate thin skin of the area feel chapped from harsh ingredients. This Duo is hands-down the perfect combination & so worth the investment – the skin around your eyes is usually the first to show age; must protect it at all costs!

Ps, I recommend checking out the Travel Shop for smaller versions of your ELEMIS faves.

Rodial Collagen Booster Drops: I’m skeptical of anything that says Collagen because it’s not something you can genuinely apply to the skin (it’s made from within, biologically speaking.) But I was interested in trying this out as a new serum because of its anti-aging properties & visible hydration it promised my skin. So far I’m liking it & again, its something you can apply as part of your morning routine (not too oily!)

John Masters Organics Vitamin C Anti-Aging Face Serum: This is a serum I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE!! I’ve been using it nonstop all summer & can’t recommend it enough. It smells like heavenly oranges and acts as the perfect serum layer to apply before that final moisturizing layer. Best part is that it’s relatively inexpensive too!

Rodial Dragon’s Blood Hyaluronic Moisturizer SPF 15: I’ve been using this moisturizer as my final layer in my morning routine. I love the fact it has an additional SPF 15 built-in, pairing perfectly with my Paula’s Choice SPF 50. It feels great on my skin & doesn’t need reapplication!

Rodial Pink Diamond Magic Gel Night: Here’s my only evening solution used as a final layer before bed, at least for the moment. It’s doing such a great job on its own after applying the evening eye cream and serums. I wake up with soft, glowy skin that makes no makeup days way more doable!

The following products are travel size

Ogx Renewing + Argan Oil of Morocco Shampoo & Conditioner: I was so pumped to have stumbled across these in my local Duane Reade! This is one of my fave brands of shampoo & conditioner, so having it available in tiny size is prime! I always bring shampoo & conditioner with me because most places have that awful 2-in-1 shit which my hair despises. Having a trusted S&C that won’t leave my hair in a tangled mess post-shower is a great feeling.

Clean & Clear Morning Burst Facial Cleanser: Another brand fave I use at home, also available in minnie size! Again, most places (prob all places) never have face wash for shower use so it’s great to be able to bring a trusted one of my own.

..

Oribe Run-Through Detangling Primer: Back to mentioning how my hair turns into a tangled mess post-shower, having a detangler such as this is ideal. It has a spray nozzle so I can shoot it all over my head in a mist-ifying action, making sure all those tangled problem areas of my hair will be brushed through without issue.

Virtue Perfect Ending Split End Serum: Lastly, I’m tackling split end protection with this handy dandy serum. I use it after showering on the ends of my hair once brushed but still damp. It doesn’t leave it feeling greasy at all & so far has proved itself worthy of replacement once I run out (which is gonna be sooner than later.)
