USCFW’13: Behind the Scenes

Fashion Board at USC concludes another successful Fashion Week Finale Show.

I was fortunate enough to step in as a replacement model, due to an unfortunate illness caught by the original model earlier this week.  However, not only was I the smallest in the bunch (note the sandals do not help my cause) but also flying solo with the bikini look.  But it was entirely worth it! I had so much fun and met some really nice people!

The day began at 3 PM for tonight’s show at 7.  All models were to report to the large room upstairs for hair and makeup, as well as a quick run through for tonight’s event.  The look for this evening was tight messy top knots with a lip color. Five local boutiques & the winning student designer from this previous Tuesday’s event displayed their collections for the models to walk down the runway.  The location of the Finale show was in an open refurnished space, with high ceilings and industrial modern accents, exclusively for event rentals.

I wore an awesome Giejo Bikini with a chiffon maxi skirt cover-up & Tory Burch sandals and red tote (not pictured); these items represented & can be purchased at a local boutique here called Van Jean.

Special thanks to my wonderful roomie Sophie for suggesting me for this modeling opportunity, as well as the entire Fashion Board team for a memorable experience.  More pictures to come (hopefully!!)
