What do you do when your dress hides your waist? Just tie one on!
I have my fair share of dresses that are quite forgiving when it comes to its fabric fit. There’s nothing I dislike more than feeling suffocated in a dress that forbids you to eat…I don’t have time for such situations. Comfort always wins for me.
However, there are definitely times when I should try to make the dress fit my body a little bit better, because it has the potential to do so. In this case, I go for the addition of a tie-on belt because it allows me to determine how much of a waist I want to define. This also allows me to set my own standards of comfort, whether I’m tightening or loosening it to suit my satisfaction.
This look is so cute! I’m loving the polka-dots and white booties for spring! xo Jana | http://www.janastyleblog.com IG: @jana_meister

I think it’s great to add one of your own belts to an outfit when it lacks one or rather than the one that simply comes with it. It makes the look much more individual! xx Maria
