Denim on a summer day isn’t always an option but we’ve been so blessed with the temps in the Northeast this June that I can’t help but take advantage of the outfit situation. The trick is to always layer appropriately to prepare for such changes in wind; we all know it can range from chilly to humid AF in a hot second.

In moments of weather bipolar-ness, you can rest assured denim is always acceptable no matter what time of year it is. That being said you don’t want to get caught freezing or sweating above the waist if you’re not in-tune with the weather changes.

I find the simple crop & lightweight blazer combo up top is the best way to combat the random chill spells along with the scorching rays of the sun, which both come at times you’re least ready to face. Lucky for us wrapping things around our waists is back “in” this 2016 and if your bag isn’t large enough to store your lightweight blazer, your hips can do some of the layer lifting for ya.
