Now that I’m officially responsible for my own hours, I’ve been checking out every coffee shop in my neighborhood to serve as my makeshift office. It’s so easy to get distracted when working from home and when I set up shop in a ‘working environment’, I feel more motivated to use my working hours efficiently. Plus it keeps me from going crazy with cabin fever and lack of social connection if I stay in my apartment all day.
Finding a bag that can carry all my necessities (aka my mobile office) has always been a struggle. I didn’t want to stick to a backpack because if I visited a showroom or press preview from my on-site working location, I would rather my bag appear more sophisticated while managing to carry everything I need simultaneously.
This tote from Solo New York has been a savior when taking my laptop, charger, notebooks, pens, etc from whatever Starbucks I’m working at to my next meeting or event. It can be carried easily as a handle or long strap tote on my shoulder & knowing there’s a zipper to enclose everything inside is super reassuring (especially when riding on the subway!)
