Funny how the idea of wearing jeans this week is so out the window – it’s been a record of 90+ degrees F since last week and so far, nothing’s changed. But I have a continuous love affair with denim and despite the season or weather, I’ll still make time to sport it one way or another.

Patchwork detail is drawing my attention more and more these days and switching it up from the overdone skinny regular wash situation is a breathe of fresh style air. To keep cool I’ve matched them up with a tighter fitting crop above the waist, which also helps to balance the looser fit of this girlfriend pair.

On the brighter side, gold accents in both footwear and jewels make this look more visually interesting in my opinion. Fun fact: I wear gold around my neck, silver on my fingers, and mix the two metals on my wrists. Anyone else find themselves sporting a similar pattern when it comes to their metal accessories? Mix and matching is cooler than being basic in one metal, am I right!?
