When it comes to dressing for a GNO – Girls Night Out – I strive to bring out the little number that fits in all the right areas and enhances what other pieces in my closet cannot. There’s something about spending a night out with your best ladies that makes you want to impress, both socially and physically, so a form-fitting dress would be the best solution for the occasion.

Funny enough, I’m not a fan of anything super tight on me and get quite uncomfortable when I feel restricted in my clothing – pretty sure a smidge of claustrophobia has to do with that. However there’s something about the lace detail and billowy sleeves of this beautiful mini that makes the idea of body-con less threatening to me. Topshop has some of the prettiest lace detailed dresses out for this season, and I’m super happy I went against the grain of my comfort zone and tried something that couldn’t be a better fit for a Girls Night Out.

The best part about wearing it is the lack of jewelry and accessories you have to keep track of, seeing that the dress does all the talking for the look itself. So your go-to bag of the night should be a color-coordinating clutch that doesn’t add any distraction.

That being said, a pair of wider-block heel studded sandals make for the most comfortable plan of attack to wear the height without the pain for hours on end – I’ve already experimented with these and yes, you will survive 4+ hours of standing in them! Shop this look & similar GNO looks below:
