In the debate of quality over quantity, there’s only one side I stick to when it comes to leather footwear. I’m sure you can guess which side that is. With a brand as authentic and beautifully crafted as FRYE, it’s hard not to desire them and wish for every pair of boot you own to follow suit. Every year for the past five Christmases I’ve asked for a new pair of FRYE boots – I really don’t know why I crave a new style each year. Then again, that’s one of the brand pillar’s behind FRYE – to long for it and not necessarily understand why. Personally to answer my own question, I long for them because I know the quality of FRYE’s leather will last me a lifetime. Why not crave one of the best?

A pair of over-the-knee boots like this Satcha Oka suede pair is the perfect addition to any fall wardrobe. I’ve tried too many styles in the past that were either too large in the leg or sagged down in an unflattering manner. Not these one bit and trust me, I’m extra picky when it comes to a boot that will fit my calf with or without the wear of a knit sock – although that is a perfect way to cheat the form-fitting system.

Let’s not forget to draw attention to this incredible Amy Shopper tote I’ve been putting to great use around the streets of NYC. From carrying my laptop and notebooks for meetings to a quick wardrobe change for an event, I can undoubtedly rely on this bag to hold everything with ease and maintain shape. That right there is the difference of quality craftsmanship versus a fast-fashion knockoff – FRYE’s version will last forever and get even better with age. Worth the investment? You have my word.
