This week, I’m participating in the Modcloth Polyvore Challenge — styling a select piece with multiple accessories all available from Modcloth.

The select piece is the Lead By Example Dress, as seen as the centerfold above.

Seasonal change calls for transitional outfits — in this case, winter to spring. With a classic dress such as this, I would identify with it more on a casual level. By layering the drape-y white top over the blue dress and belting it with a complimentary color at a corset level, the piece already becomes a different approach. The rest of the look is balanced by neutrals; shades of brown in particular.

The best part? By nightfall, you can eliminate the daytime accessories, swap the boots for a pair of heels and grab a black clutch over the handbag.
