Classics 101 | StitchFix

Classic staples in any wardrobe help to make it feel more complete, especially when you consider how beneficial they are all year long. In my opinion, every girl should own 1) A great pair of skinny jeans that make her feel like she can take on the world; 2) Simple black pumps that can dress up the most casual of looks; 3) an oversized neutral knit sweater that can be both cozy and sophisticated when worn; and 4) A statement -making bag that’s easy to manage yet sturdy enough to hold a day’s worth of necessities.

The only addition I’ve made to this look is the incorporation of a faux fur vest because, well it’s winter and still too chilly to go out with one layer. Oh and if you think I’m daring enough to go this exposed from the ankle down, I’m not that much of a risk taker. A good pair of nude tights can both insulate underneath denim and fool any passerby who thinks I’m actually crazy. Shop similar below:

I got the opportunity to try out StitchFix last week – a personal styling service tailored to your taste, budget and lifestyle that helps busy women on the go look and feel their best everyday. Upon filling out a style questionnaire, you’re then set up with a natural trendsetter of a stylist who will curate a StitchFix box of items based off your indicated preferences. You get to schedule its arrival, try on what pieces you get once delivered and decide what to keep and what to return. The best (and cutest) part about receiving your StitchFix box is the pocket-sized outfit swatches created by your stylist that assist you in pairing each individual piece. It definitely helps to spark outfit ideas and saves some time, if brainstorming a look isn’t in your time frame.

Out of everything I received, I loved the sweater and jeans I’m wearing in this post the most. From the fit to the color/wash and style of both pieces, my stylist truly got me when it came to my preferences for both my denim and my sweaters. Fitted & skinny while oversized & cozy. I highly recommend trying StitchFix out for yourself and giving yourself the opportunity to discover new brands and styles you might not have tried out on your own otherwise.
