One thing’s for sure when it comes to my daily functionality:
NO TALKIE BEFORE COFFEE
Once I have at least one cup in me, it’s safe to approach – kidding, kinda. It’s bizarre how one beverage can determine how my day will go just by my experience with it each morning. For instance if I order something very routine to me and receive a cup that doesn’t match my expectations, my entire morning just fell apart. Not really but it might as well have, my mood gets so thrown when I have a bad cup that’s out of my control and in the hands of a barista to determine for me..
The struggle is real and I’ve learned to make coffee at home because of it. But I will say it was VERY difficult to find the right brand, brew and ingredient combo that made each of my mornings. I’ve tried many and most but ultimately it took the special comfort of home to get me grounded in my coffee routine (pun somewhat intended, get it..coffee grounds.)

I used to keep a sticky arrow on my coffee cup, so my staff would know that when the arrow was under the half way point on my cup, it was safe to speak to me. Worked really well.
That’s so clever! I think I need to try that myself, and invest in a shirt that says “No Talkie Before Coffee.” :]
