There’s a decorative pillow in my dad’s bar that reads, “Life’s too short to drink bad wine,” as well as a piece of wall art stating, “We shall drink no wine until it’s time…it’s time.” Needless to say, I’ve been conditioned to appreciate the chardonnays and cabernets that have graced those wine glasses at the dinner table since I could read. Today, at age 23, I can confidently drink from the vine with a better understanding of its origin. I also think my dad could teach a class called “Fine Wine 101 – Learning To Drink Maturely” but let’s not jump the gun on that one yet..

On a fashion note, wine-colored pieces are the bomb.com for fall/winter because of the innate warming sensation this color reminds us of when we drink a glass of red – you get all cozy inside. That’s exactly how this oversized knit – which I’m referring to as a coat – makes me feel. Adding a few personal touches to this look yet keeping it as casual as can be, I spent a stressful day of holiday shopping in this ensemble followed by, yep..a few glasses of wine.
