Something I’ve seen trending so far for the Fall season, especially during Fashion Week, is the match up combination of feminine dresses/skirts with an edgy boot. I’m someone who’s very particular about the “trends” I choose to participate in, frankly because 80% of them are made up of pieces that can only be worn together as a one-and-done ensemble. However, feminine dresses & skirts are pieces I can wear all year long with a multitude of shoe styles; same goes for combat boots & practically any pair of denim/pants I own.

Given that plaid is such a natural fall-inspired print, finding a mini skirt incorporating it with fall-inspired hues feels like a double whammy purchase. So when deciding to pairing it with this pair of leather combat boots, I didn’t realize it would feel so right and look so good right off the bat. Most of these dress/boot combos are worn at a longer length (i.e. midi or maxi with a slit) so I’m pumped I was able to pull off going a little bit shorter.

* I just realized writing this post that the skirt is no longer in stock :[  but hopefully some of the ones I’ve linked & included in the slider below catch your eye! This particular one is on my wishlist now that I’ve found it searching for similar styles.
