My collection of denim is impressive as well as borderline obsessive. Once I find a great pair of fitting jeans, I’m very unlikely to get rid of them. But with time comes changes, and I’m starting to realize what once fit like a glove no longer does (thank you hips…) Since space is limited in my shallow closet to store the amount of denim I’ve accumulated, I’ve been forced to part ways with all the pairs that no longer do me justice, primarily in the fit.

As I began purging my denim collection, I noticed I didn’t own a black wash pair that wasn’t distressed. How I managed to wear black jeans during the winter is beyond me…I must’ve layered with tights underneath. So I made it my new mission to find a solid pair of black denim that I could dress up or down, without rips or tears, and that fit me in all the right ways.
